Channing Memorial Church welcomes all individuals and families regardless of race, sexual orientation or religious background. Since 1993, Channing has been part of the Unitarian Universalist presence in Howard County. The congregation recently made 3230 Bethany Lane its first home church after years of meeting in members’ homes, local schools and shared space. The church’s mission is to offer worship in the liberal church tradition. Channing provides religious education for children, youth and adults along with special programs and discussion groups. The congregation makes every effort to support shelter and other social action programs throughout Howard and Baltimore County communities.
