Miso Harney Sushi is located in the new Oceanside Terraces condo and apartment complex, not far from the pier. It is a family-owned business with a sister restaurant located in the Gaslight District of nearby San Diego. Miso Harney serves authentic Japanese cuisine from its hot kitchen and sushi bar. It’s a popular spot for happy hour, when drinks and small plates are served at the marble-topped bar at discounted prices. There’s a small outdoor café that’s always filled during sunset with its unblocked views of the ocean and pier. The chefs prepare traditional nigiri sushi, but regulars tend to order from the specialty roll menu that lists the popular California, Dragon and House Specialty varieties. By night, the restaurant turns into a club atmosphere as live DJs mix lounge music. Diners are known to dance in the aisles as the volume and the sake levels increase.
