Michael Dreishpoon has been practicing law in the New York metropolitan area for over 24 years. On a case in Manhattan that attracted a lot of media attention, Michael utilized his negotiation skills to avoid a trial for his 18 year old client charged with felony murder. Though she was facing 25 years to life in prison, Michael persuaded the D.A. to offer a 6 year sentence, thereby affording her a second chance at a normal life. Michael also has had numerous trial victories on personal injury cases. On one motor vehicle accident case with herniated discs, Michael convinced a Queens jury to award $440,000. Most recently, Michael convinced a Supreme Court jury to award his client $214,375 on a motor vehicle accident case where Allstate had offered $50,000 pre-trial! He also has utilized trial alternatives like arbitration and mediation to win clients large awards. For example, he obtained a 3.2 million dollar settlement for a severely injured motor vehicle accident victim, a 1 million dollar settlement for a client who fell off a ladder at work and convinced an arbitrator to award $175,000 to an elderly client bitten by a dog.
