From the moment I walked in, I was immediately intrigued by the place. For starters, there is complimentary valet parking which is amazing I wish I had known this before circling the block 3 times for parking - LOL. As soon as you walk in, the interior of the restaurant has an eclectic mix of interesting light fixtures and cool patterns. You can tell they have put some thought the decor. There is so much to look at and take in not to mention the huuuuge set of picture windows overlooking the water. Absolutely beautiful. The menu was AMAZINGLY extensive. I´m usually quick to choose a meal, but here I actually had a tough time deciding bc there were so many options. I jokingly said to my coworkers that I would have to come back to Providence just to eat here again... and I absolutely will.I decided on the french crunchy roll, miso soup, and pineapple fried rice, & I ended up eating some of my friends´ meals too. Everything that touched my palette was more than good. I would HIGHLY recommend Jacky´s to anyone. Great atmosphere, great food, great experience. Our server wish I got his name went above and beyond to keep us happy. We were the 3 girls at the big table on Sat night 3/2. Thank you SO much!!

I have been here a few times now as this has become my go to for chinese and when I am jonesin for sushi. The atmosphere is pretty chic but the crowd is elegant yet relaxed. The food is consistently good and the prices can´t be beat. The summer rolls are amazing, I am addicted to their walnut shrimp for appetizer and kind of in love with the fact that they have 3 portion sizes of Peking duck, one of my favs. The noodle dishes are huge, and a favorite of mine is the lettuce wraps. You can legit eat these for a meal with your choice of chicken, duck, shrimp. Good stuff. The sushi is also on point. I haven´t had a bad sushi experience here at all. From the uni to the toro, the boat and the special rolls, again, everything is pretty fresh and consistent. I also have had a good run with the nigiri and never had anything bad to say. The staff is always friendly, and the experience is always favorable.

This is a fusion Asian restaurant, specializing in Chinese and Japanese fare.   The main draw is the beautiful location downtown, overlooking Waterplace park and the downtown skyline.  The restaurant is ample and it has private dining areas as well.   The wait staff is usually very friendly and attentive.   The sushi has been ok, the ribs appetizer is very good as well as their chicken wings, you can get them sticky, spicy, etc. They have valet parking for dinner and weekends.   But you can also park on the street or the mall, which is only about 1-2 blocks away.

I try to avoid eating at restaurants that engage in wage theft their 2016 settlement is well known, and that´s the main reason why I´ve lived in Providence for nearly 5 years without eating here. Sometimes it can´t be helped. Had an unavoidable work lunch here.Service was great. Decor is dated - it was definitely cool in the early 00s and has not been refreshed since then. I am not by any stretch of the imagination a seafood aficionado, but this sushi didn´t taste all that great, and it´s expensive despite that. You´re paying for the view, and I´m sure Waterfire is what keeps this place afloat.

To say I am all set with Jacky´s is an understatement. I´ve been here a few times and every time it´s been a sub par experience at best. The location definitely saves this place because the service and food it borderline decent. We went here last night as we had reservations for 8:00 pm. We pulled the valet circle and waited on our car for 2, maybe 3 minutes. I observed 2 valet employees just standing at their station outside the front door. I got out of my car and that´s when one of them finally came over to my car.The valet apologized and said they are not taking anymore cars tonight. I was like, excuse me?? I told him we have reservations to eat here for 8:00 and he apologized again but said they have no more room. I was not getting frustrated as we drove down from Bristol and I told him I refuse to go pay to park some to eat here. He told me to wait a minute while he gored and talks to the lot manager. He came back and he said that the lot manager told him they can´t take anymore cars. So now my blood is boiling. I told him that if that´s the case, put a sign up saying no more valet for the night so customers aren´t pulling in. It´s not cool that customers pull in under the assumption that valet will be available when it´s not.It seemed to me that Jacky´s did not care if they were accommodating their customers or not with the valet parking issue. We will not be returning here as this was the straw that broke the camel´s back. No one should have to go and pay to park else to eat dinner at a restaurant!

I got take out sushi here for lunch and it made my day!! I absolutely loved it. Also the decor inside the restaurant is awesome, I love thier fish tank and it seems a little classier than most sushi places. Though more pricey than other sushi places the food was great and the staff were inviting and sweet.

Jacky´s was okay! It was a very fancy place with beautiful decorations. There´s complimentary valet parking, and I love how it is right at the waterfront. Service was great. Our waitress was friendly enough and got our order quickly.I got a glass of Moscato for $8, and I actually really liked it! The were subtle apple tones, and it was just really yummy. As far as the food itself goes, the quality was good but not mind blowing in my opinion. I asked the waitress for her opinion on a specialty fusion roll, and I wish I hadn´t. She of course gave me the most expensive option, the Volcano roll. I should´ve asked for more options, but I went with the Volcano roll, seeing that it was a favorite dish on Yelp. Regret. While my friends got two normal pretty large rolls for $16 total, I spent $18 on one small roll of sushi. I thought the Volcano Roll tasted good, was prepared well, and looked beautiful. The crab and shrimp were great, but I couldn´t really taste the scallops. It definitely is much more fusion than traditional Japanese because the sushi was fried. I get it it´s supposed to look like the sushi are encircling a volcano / lava that you´re dipping your sushi . That´s all fine. But the center of the dish was literally just sauce. I just couldn´t justify the portions of food and the cost. I had to eat really slowly to make sure I didn´t finish before all my friends did.All in all, Jacky´s is nice if you´re looking for an Asian fusion fancy restaurant. It´s definitely overpriced at the Waterfront location, but the food tastes good and the ambiance is fancy. It´s not a bad place to try out, and maybe I´ll give it another chance one day! But I´m not making it a staple.

This place was by far one of my favorite places to eat now. As soon as I pulled up, Vallet was right there and opened the doors for my party very quickly. The prices of the food were very reasonable and the portion sizes are very very big. I got the pineapple chicken style pad tai. Everything was delicious and very well prepared. The waitress we had was very nice and was pleasantly efficient in everything she did. Overall I would say this is a place that should always be considered when coming to this area.

Consistency is what comes to mind when I think of this place.  You know your going to get really fresh sushi.  The presentation is going to be creative and its going to be a good atmosphere.

My girlfriend and I decided to take a weekend trip together to Providence.  We ended up coming here because we wanted sushi and this was the closest location to we were.  The interior of the restaurant is very fancy and pretty to look at.  The bathroom is very close to the kitchen so you will see the waiters there if you don´t know you going.  We ordered calamari, sushi, and dessert.  The sushi was a little bland, the calamari was really good.  My favorite though must been the dessert because it tasted very sweet with fruity taste behind it.  I sadly don´t remember the name of it but I do have pictures haha.  It is a nice place to talk and eat with someone.  The service was very good because my cup is never empty.  I barely finish half the water and it´s already full in about 10 minutes.  Overview: It´s a nice experience for a weekend trip, but I would not come here daily.  Maybe once in a while when I want some Asian cuisine in Providence.

5 Star Rating and let me count the ways:Hands down my favorite Jacky´s location in Rhode Island. The view at this restaurant is like WHOA..it does not get any better! Feels like Rhode Island and the night sky is giving you ONE BIG HUG! When your inside, you´ll notice immediately how elegant and lovely it is-What I love most? Even though it´s probably equipped with $10,000 lighting fixtures this place is unpretentious. Super inviting and warm. You don´t feel like it´s too fancy schamancy despite the location waterplace Service is impeccable. The food is excellent. I notice a lot of patrons ordering basic crab ragoons or eggrolls but I feel your missing out if you´re not going to try the non traditional dishes!! Reasonably priced. A great place to come to celebrate a birthday, new years eve, anniversary, mother´s day..etc..I also appreciate the complimentary valet and LOVE how I can text the drivers to have my car ready as soon as I´m done with my din din.

I went to Jacky´s on a Monday evening for my roommates 21st birthday. The location is prime and the inside of the restaurant is extremely chic. High end finishes and a very fine dining feel. We had a party of 16 and our waitress was great for the most part. The only hiccup was that 1 person out of our 16 had to wait an extra ten minutes for their food to come out. I had dumplings to start, and chicken teriyaki and a drink with a name I can´t remember, but it was peach and prosecco. The prosecco was barely present in the drink, but it was still good overall and reasonably priced. The food, however, is not. The food is just fine. That´s all. Incredibly bland, small portions that are ridiculously expensive. If you came here you´re 100 paying for atmosphere. Simply not worth it in my opinion and probably won´t return.

I´ve visited this location a few times for both lunch and dinner. Sometimes I feel like the food and service is unremarkable, but then had an amazing experience here during Waterfire. During this occasion, we brought an out of town friend - and she loved it!

While the place offers great atmosphere, they lack in knowledgeable wait staff. This is the kind of place that you bring someone out to as the view and restaurant is absolutely gorgeous. There is a wait so be sure to make reservations. The dishes come with eye-catching presentation but I don´t think the price point is greatly fulfilled by the actual food quality. The server we had was not very helpful in helping us dishes, I did not feel that the server went out of her way to assist us on the menu. We didn´t feel that the server has a genuine interest in our first experience which left a bad taste in our mouth. As far as the food, it was more presentation that taste. Some of the slices of fish were not cold enough and felt warm snapper to be exact. This place is great for first-timers in the sushi world, but if you´re looking for a great food experience, there are much better offerings that I have had around the area.

I´ve been hearing about Jackys since I first moved to Providence in 2016. We happened to be walking around downtown on a beautiful day a bit after lunch time on a Saturday. It was nice and quiet so we got decent service and ordered appetizers and some sushi. The best thing I ate: Roasted Peking Duck from their warm entrees. It comes with a little wrap, cucumbers and scallions I think - with a nice dark sauce. It was DELISH. Probably would come back just for that. The rest: we also ordered shrimp nime chow- they´re not the best I´ve had but they were fresh! The peanut sauce could have been more flavorful. We both ordered sushi- very fresh and good but nothing enough to give it a 5 star rating.Only reason I didn´t give it 5 stars is because I came here for late lunch, so can´t imagine how it is when it is busy. And since everything was just decent.

I went here a few days ago for the first time and only heard about how amazing this place was, so I was very excited to go. It was for a pharmaceutical rep dinner so we were a large party. The wait staff was excellent for a large group and checked on us many times regarding drinks. I ate half my dinner there, had the rest boxed and took it to work with me the next day I proceeded to find a STAPLE in my chicken. I was so disgusted and turned off. I realize that this is now 24 hours after my meal and my dinner was already free from the pharm rep, and I´m sure it´s an accident, but an open staple somehow found it´s way in there at the restaurant. Be careful.

This is by far my fave location compared to Cumberland & Mineral Spring. The decor here is beautiful & feels slightly more upscale than their other locations. Service was impeccable as their other locations are. Food is also the same quality as the other locations. I really just prefer this location because it´s so nice. Parking can be a B though. Overall, this business w/their other locations is very consistent $ that´s pretty great.

I was excited to try this restaurant, it looks so beautiful and seems highly rated. My experience was the exact opposite. We made reservations for 7 people on a Monday at 5PM, there was nobody in the reassurance and the service was so slow we didn´t leave till 7:30. We were so frustrated we didn´t even order dessert. I ordered a spicy salmon avocado roll a simple roll it came out wrong the first time, the second time it also came out wrong, the third time it finally came out with salmon and avocado, but not spicy. When the waiter came with our order there was long gaps between people getting their food. The waiter accidentally put in 2 orders of fried rice when we only ordered one. He asked us if we wanted it since it was extra so we took it. When it came time to the bill he put the extra rice in there, after confronting him saying that was their mistake not ours he said there was nothing else he could do we had to pay. The rice was fried rice and had absolutely no flavor, I might as well have ordered plain brown rice. They wouldn´t take the sushi roll off of my bill even though it took 3 times for them to get it correct. We then did a few different checks and they ran them all on the wrong cards and ran multiple bills on one card. Which took another half hour to be solved. No apology was given by the manager even after several complaints. I will not be back here again.

This was probably the worst sushi place in Rhode Island. don´t know what all the hype is about, the sushi didn´t taste fresh. It was flavorless. Nothing was cold, all the food was warm beyond room temp. No doubt the view is beautiful, but I definitely won´t be coming back here.

Wow, this place was great!!!! First we stared with awesome martinis, then move on to great apps, and food. The dumplings and sushi pizza were to die for. Beef loc lac appetizer was incredible. We had 4 kids from 9-15 and they all loved it.  Mr mango fusion roll was fantastic. We had mango desert , crepe brûlée and mango mouse cake... yum!! So glad I tried this place!!

Jacky´s aesthetic is surely luxurious, with a menu that feels small, but is rather plentiful. My first visit has set a high bar. The prices are mid-range but on par with the Waterplace area of Providence. Dining indoors seems fine, but sitting on the balcony to see the horizon of Providence is  invaluable in the dining experience.Food came out slowly on a surprisingly light Friday evening, but the food was worth the wait. My party ordered Duck, Beef and Chicken with Lemongrass, and each had portions that were big enough to share. The Chicken with Lemongrass was exceptional and a star of the table, with an aroma and flavor reminiscent of curry. By portions alone, I am happy to pay the price of the dish.
