Maxwell Hall is an amazing building that is a wonderful blend of chic and modern.  This, for those who do not already know, is one of four main buildings used by LIM College. The location is incredible: It´s just a few blocks away from Grand Central Station, major bus stops such as the crosstown M42, the United Nations as well as several great, college-student worthy places to eat.  The building is nestled between third and second avenues and has a fantastic lobby that is commonly used as an area for students to socialize and is typically some events are held. The building itself is massive and the school has a total of four floors: mezzanine, second, third and eighth floors.  Everything a student could possibly need is inside this building and the amount of computer labs and quiet areas are endless.  Throughout my academic career at this school, the quiet areas have been my safe haven and favorite spots to complete my most important assignments.  It´s worth noting that Maxwell is incredibly clean and always has the appropriate, as well as experienced, staff who are available to answer any questions that may arise.I would like to note that if you are in crutches or a wheelchair, you can access the building from another building right next door.  The elevators connect to Maxwell Hall and LIM College´s IT department can allow you access to Maxwell through your LIM ID card.  I fractured my foot during my first semester at LIM and the IT department was more than accommodating because if I wanted help swiping, there´s a phone next to every door for me to call for assistance.I say based on what I have written so far, if I didn´t know any better, I´d say Maxwell is hands down my favorite building at LIM and I´ll miss it!

I really don´t know to start with this school.  I very much agree with Lauren C´s review.  There is no help for these students.  There is no direction whatsoever.  My daughter was on her own as well as far as finding internships.  The teachers are awful.  Not qualified and to ask for help or questions don´t even bother asking the teachers.  And let´s get the dorms.  They´re disgusting.  All that money you pay and they DO NOT take care of the building.  They have popcorn ceilings in the room.  My daughter had no heat in the winter time and the a/c was constantly broken.  The TV in the room hasn´t even been working.  It´s upsetting when I go to visit her and the smells in the hallway will make you gag.  I cannot wait for her to be finished.

Maybe my review will bring out more reviews, probably very similar. This school, a private school in the heart of Manhattan prides itself on being the best fashion merchandising school there is. This could not be further from the truth. It is a joke. It´s like a vacuum to suck your money and all the promises that are made become nonexistent once your money is in their pocket. Please if you are looking for a college to explore fashion merchandising please look further than LIM! Although our daughter graduated after spending over $200 thousand, she found all internships on her own with no assistance from LIM. At the end she chose not to walk at commencement so they mailed her diploma, a piece of cheap paper with no cover or case. Horrible teachers with absolutely no knowledge of what they´re teaching. No one that answers the phone can help because they´re all students, a.k.a. free labor! There are not enough negative words in the English language to express our disappointment with our daughters educational experience with LIM! How I wish that yelp had the option to post negative stars!
