This local yacht club is set up on a private drive right on the water. Quannapowitt was founded in 1884, and its Web site says it is the oldest inland yachting organization in the nation. Its members participate in regattas during the May – October season. Membership is open to all qualified individuals and the yacht club maintains a diverse fleet of ships. You can call for an appointment if you are interested in joining.The facility is available for private events.
