The Taylor Police Department provides a full range of police services to the people of Taylor, Mich. The department is responsible for patrolling city neighborhoods, responding to calls for police service, investigating crimes and arresting offenders and working closely with the community to identify and solve problems of crime and neighborhood disorder. In addition, the department has offices working with federal, state and county multi-jurisdictional task forces to assist in stemming the flow of illegal narcotics to the entire region. With an authorized sworn force of more than 100 officers, the Taylor Police Department is the largest law enforcement agency in the Detroit downriver area. As such, the department has been the leader in bringing improved technology and methods into the field of police work over the last decade.
