The Blue Parrot was so popular that just three years after it closed its doors in 2006, it opened right back up in the same spot. Located off of the Reutershan's parking lot, down an alley behind the Ralph Lauren Store,it might sound like an odd spot for a hip restaurant with celebrity clientele.It was originally opened in 1981 by a group of surfers and locals looking for some good Tex-Mex food. Rocker Jon Bon Jovi, actress Renée Zellweger and billionaire Ron Perelman joined forces to open the doors again this time, and much of it hasremained the same. Bon Jovi has even been known to sing here. The restaurant is popular with tourists, though it's not large enough to accommodate a large crowd all at once.There is even an online shop that sellsT-shirts and mason jars like the ones The Blue Parrot uses to serve margaritas.
