Established in 1982, A1 Wildwater in Fort Collins, Colo., is one of northern Colorados oldest and most experienced river outfitters. A1 offers class-five rafting, Eskimo roll classes and kayaking programs. A1 Wildwater rafts some of the best stretches of whitewater in Colorado including the Cache La Poudre river, one of Colorados only nationally designated wild and scenic river and the Arkansas river that is home to the Browns Canyon stretches. It also rafts the North Platte river, the Dolores river and the Colorado river. Its whitewater specialty-shop features new-wave kayaks, T-shirts and speciality rafting and kayaking gear. A1 offers United States Coast Guard approved life jackets and 14-foot self-bailing hyside-rafts with foot-cones. All its guides are trained in first-aid, CPR and the latest river rescue techniques.
