The BART bus system has served the Chequamegon Bay area since 1981. It provides riders with a safe, clean and reliable alternative means of transportation in the Ashland and Bayfield County areas. B.A.R.T. provides a fixed route commuter service for the residents of Red Cliff, Ashland, Bayfield, Washburn and Odanah in northern Wisconsin. Riding the bus in these communities is convenient as more than 80% of the residents live within walking distance of the BART routes. The BART offers service at each of its bus stops every 2 hours. BART also provides a demand point to point bus service in the City of Washburn and the immediate surrounding area named the "Blue Goose". Riders must call 682-9664 to schedule a ride.
