Blue Windows has a varied selection of gift items, products for the home and apparel. The attractively decorated store can easily turn an intended quick browsing session into a rather extended one. Very neat, orderly shelves and displays fill the room bathed in soft track lighting that showcases a spectrum of eye-catching colors, patterns and products. Owner Heather Duncan started as an employee shortly after the store opened, worked her way to manager and eventually purchased it in 2004. "I love that the store has become a cre­ative out­let for me as well as a way to inter­act with the won­der­ful com­mu­nity of Belmont Shore," she wrote on her website. Duncan is a dedicated philanthropist, donating a portion of Blue Windows' monthly profits to charities such as Operation School Bell, which provides free school uniforms to children in Long Beach.
