Briarwood Ballet offers instruction in classical ballet and dance education within a Christ-centered environment. Based in Birmingham, Ala., the dance school started in 1980 and serves students of all ages, who desire to study dance. The Ballet is a board directed ministry of the Briarwood Presbyterian Church. It also hosts an annual spring performance that offers older students a performing experience. Briarwood Ballet s two performing groups include Ballet Exaltation and Immanuel. The Ballet Exaltation group has a varied and ready repertoire of pieces choreographed to classical and contemporary Christian music which may be used in worship services, concert settings or for other school and civic events.
