Budget Rooter was founded in 1992 by Suzanne J. Palady after she had become disabled and unable to work at her former job as a meat wrapper. Determined to continue to earn a living and armed with advice from her husband (a long-time plumber), Suzanne bought four telephone lines, the name ?Budget Rooter,? and enlisted her son, Jeff, an experienced drain cleaner. She plied the telephones ? marketing her new company, dispatching calls, and handling the office duties.
