Operational for more than 50 years, Buffalo Hearing & Speech Center is a private, nonprofit organization that provides treatment for children, adolescents and adults with speech, language and hearing impairments. It offers audiology program that features hearing evaluation, cochlear implantation, aural rehabilitative, auditory processing and newborn infant hearing testing services. The center also provides early intervention program that focuses on speech language, occupational and physical therapies for children up to the age of 3. Buffalo Hearing & Speech Center employs a staff of audiologists, speech language pathologists, social workers, psychologists and therapists. It is accredited by the National Association of Speech and Hearing Centers and is licensed by the New York State Department of Health and the New York State Education Department.
