Carmines, opened in 1990, is an Italian American-style restaurant. The restaurant serves a wide range of appetizers, such as eggplant parmigiana, garlic bread, zuppa di clams, zuppa di mussels, stuffed artichoke, stuffed mushrooms, fried calamari, fried zucchini and baked clams. Its menu also comprises pastas, vegetables and side orders, veal, chicken, beef, seafood and various desserts. The restaurant s walls feature portraits of opera singers, and black-and-white photos of Italian American families. It also provides catering services for up to 40 guests, and serves a variety of red, white and sparkling wines from Italy and other parts of the world. Carmines is open seven-days a week, and has restaurants in New York City, Atlantic City, N.J., and Nassau, Bahamas.
