The Centre of Elgin is a public recreational facility that provides a variety of recreational and fitness programs. Its more than 180,000-square-foot advanced facility includes running and walking tracks, a health and fitness center, an indoor rock climbing area, racquetball courts, swimming pools, gymnasium, banquet facilities and arts and crafts studios. The center, located in Elgin, Ill., also offers various aquatic programs, including Elgin cyclone swim team, water exercise, tot-time swimming, scuba diving and days off school. Its preschool programs include motor skill development, arts and crafts and recreational activities. The center features classrooms with child-size bathrooms inside classroom, secure facility with locked doors, camera monitors, secure outdoor playground, indoor motor skill room and computers.
