Century Termite and Pest was started in the home of the owner, Brett Nunn in Sterling, Virginia. In mid June of 1993, at the age of 23, Brett was determined to start his own business, so he started knocking on doors in the neighborhood. He used no advertising, had no equipment of his own or a truck to drive; he only had the ideal of a business. He rented the equipment, tools and truck daily to service his growing list of customers. Despite the challenges, he never gave up. After a fire in 1999, Brett was forced to rebuild his house. He sank his teeth into re-building his home and this sparked the creation a division of Century Termite and Pest devoted to custom home building. Today, we have a full construction crew. Since 1990 Century Termite and Pest — and now Century Home Improvement — has overseen fire restoration, water damage insurance claims, termite damage of all kinds and roofing damage done by rodents. Century Termite and Pest and Century Home Improvement have grown to handle the Northern Virginia Area along with Montgomery, Prince George’s and Frederick Counties in Maryland.
