Community Medical Centers, located in Stockton, Calif., was established in the 1960s as a volunteer effort of the San Joaquin Medical Society, San Joaquin Local Health District and Community Action Council. It provides comprehensive primary and preventive care services to various communities through several clinical sites in San Joaquin, Solano, Yolo and Calaveras counties in California. The agency s various medical services include infant and childhood physicals, immunizations, treatment of illnesses and family planning services. It also offers prenatal care, preventive medicine and various special services to low-income families. Community Medical Centers offers dental, health education, pharmacy, X-ray and several special programs, such as early intervention programs, and free HIV and AIDS testing and counseling.
