Larry Duncan originally founded Boat City on Rivers Avenue in 1970. Throughout the years he brought thousands of Lowcountry families to the boating lifestyle. In 1996, Larrys son, Jim, returned to assume the responsibility for the company after a successful engineering career. In 2007, Jim purchased Duncans Boats, located on the Ashley River in North Charleston. We are committed to Larrys vision of continuing to help families enjoy SCs waterfront through our mission statement.
