Effie Yeaw Nature Center is an environmental and cultural education center located inside Ancil Hoffman Park, off Tarshes Drive in Carmichael. The center is operated by the American River Natural History Association and offers 77 acres filled with educational stations for adults and kids, small animals, exhibits and more. The area has three self-guided trails which offer views of animals, including turkeys, deer, rabbits and other creatures. The location also offers a shop, specialty exhibits, as well as space available for rental. The Center's Assembly Building is available for meetings, workshops and educational programs and special events. It can hold 100 to 130 people in a single room or it can be divided into three individual rooms to seat 20 to 50 people.
