Elmbrook Humane Society (EBHS) cares for more than 2,500 animals a year in its Brookfield shelter that was built in 2004. With staff and some 200 volunteers, the shelter offers a wide variety of animals for adoption. EBHS contracts to provide animal rescue and other services for the City of Brookfield, Villages of Butler, Chenequa, Elm Grove, Nashotah and the Towns of Brookfield and Delafield. The agency also offers educational programs with area schools on responsible pet ownership and animal care.
