Founded in 1979, the Family Violence Prevention Center is a private, nonprofit organization that provides housing and crisis intervention services for individuals who suffer from domestic abuse and violence. It offers a variety of education, community presentation, hospital response, and skill development and violence prevention training programs. The organization provides case management, patient referral, community support, independent living, transportation and career planning services. It additionally offers individual and family counseling solutions in cases related to physical and substance abuse. The organization is certified by the Council on Accreditation. It is funded by more than 400 individuals, families, civic organizations, churches, businesses, and state and local government agencies. The Family Violence Prevention Center is located in Xenia, Ohio.
