Fresno Valves & Castings was founded in 1952 as Showalters Irrigation Appliance. At that time, the company produced a line of irrigation gates. The company was acquired in 1958 by Martin Iron Works, which included the addition of an aluminum foundry. In 1974, Martin Iron Works built a new facility and changed its name to Fresno Valves & Castings. For more than 25 years, Fresno Valves & Castings has expanded to include three major divisions and nearly 10 nine offices throughout the United States and services markets throughout the world. Fresno Valves & Castings product line now includes some of the worlds leading water control devices. Divisions of Fresno Valves include Pierce Fittings, manufacturing a complete line of irrigation fittings. Flow-Guard division manufactures all the stainless steel filtration products, including a variety of media and screen filtration units.
