Hughes Brothers operates its own wood preserving facility, which is maintained and operated completely in accordance with EPA guidelines. The company operates a wood, metal and fiberglass manufacturing facility in Seward, Neb. Hughes Brothers early production was centered around wood products such as cross-arms, braces, wood guy guards and ground wire moulding. As the industry grew in the early 1940s, pole line hardware and custom manufactured metal fittings and parts were added to the expanding product line. Hughes Brothers has a versatile metal fabrication facility complete with its own galvanizing plant, and its wood working shops can handle almost any size material.
