Originally named the IB Free People's Clinic, the Health Center specializes in assisting the low income and underserved. You do not have to be an Imperial Beach resident to be seen. Medi-Cal, Medicare and Tricare are accepted as well as most other insurances. To find out how to get health insurance or if you qualify for care at the Health Center, contact Antonio Martinez, the center's outreach coordinator. A doctor is on-call 24 hours a day but this is not an emergency room. If you have a medical emergency, call 911.
