Jefferson Elementary School is one of eight elementary schools in Elmhurst serving children from kindergarten through fifth grade. In addition to core subjects, the school, located in southeast Elmhurst, offers Spanish, art, choir, band and orchestra. In 2009, 95 percent of Jefferson students met or exceeded state standards on standardized tests. Principal is Laura Pfanenstiel.
