Founded in 1964, Kimmons Junior High School provides general academic education to its students. The school serves more than 750 students in grades seven through nine. It conducts classes in various subjects, including English, math, science, social studies and physical education. It offers a variety of sports activities, such as football, volleyball, basketball, and track and field. Kimmons Junior High School also operates several educational and cultural clubs. The school features an orchestra, band and choir. In addition, it operates a parent-teacher-student association that conducts several fundraising programs. The school offers counseling, guidance, food and medical care. Located in Fort Smith, Ark., Kimmons Junior High School is operated by Fort Smith Public Schools, which operates various elementary, middle and high schools.
