Located in Chesterfield, Mo., the Cedars at the JCA is a nonprofit organization that offers health care and housing services for the senior citizens. It provides a wide range of acute care services, including physical and medical rehabilitation; antibiotics and specialized fluid monitoring; neurological rehabilitation for stroke, multiple sclerosis, Parkinson s disease; and pain and wound management. Its areas of expertise include gynecology, psychology, oncology, internal medicine, psychiatry, audiology, dermatology, optometry, dentistry podiatry and ophthalmology. It also offers orthopedic rehabilitation for total joint replacements, hip fractures, lumbar and cervical fusions and amputations. The various recreational activities and facilities offered by the center include special care units for individuals with Alzheimer s disease, post-acute rehabilitation, adult day and children care center and work activity center.
