Mayfield Plastics is a customer products manufacturer that specializes in thermoform technology. Thermoforming, or pressure forming, is able to form details normally found only in injection-molded products, but without the expensive cost of tooling. Mayfield provides its customers with design assistance, in-house tooling, complete trimming and finishing capabilities and flexible delivery schedules. The company took steps to stay on the cutting edge of the thermoform industry in 2005 by opening a new, 60,000-square-foot facility in Sutton, Mass., which features several new state-of-the-art machines capable of pressure, vacuum and twin-sheet forming.
