Established in 1973, the Olympic Area Agency on Aging is a private nonprofit organization. Located in Port Hadlock, Wash., the organization serves senior citizens with disabilities. It provides the Long-Term Care Ombudsman and statewide health insurance benefits advisory programs. The Olympic Area Agency on Aging provides an adult day care program that includes social and rehabilitative services for people with functional impairments. The organization offers elderly abuse-related services that include the provision of public education, outreach and referral programs with respect to the prevention of abuse, neglect and exploitation of older individuals. The Olympic Area Agency on Aging is a member of the Southeastern Association of Area Agencies on Aging.
