Founded in 1971, the People of Praise is a Christian community that provides a range of educational and spiritual programs. It has more than 2,900 members and operates over 20 branches throughout United States and Canada. The community maintains an ecumenical school, Trinity School, which offers Christian-based education to nearly 700 students in Indiana, Virginia and Minnesota. It additionally provides a variety of support programs to assist individuals with marriages and financial planning. The community also offers several donation and charity programs and supports various nonprofit organizations and churches. Its members consist of Methodists and Lutherans, Roman Catholics and Pentecostals, and Baptists and Episcopalians. The People of Praise maintains one of its branches in South Bend, Ind.
