Rice Elementary School serves students in pre-kindergarten through grade four. The school has a library media center that assists students in the use of current and appropriate information and encourages reading as a lifetime activity. The school offers academic classes in various subjects, such as vocal and instrumental music, math, science, speech, technology, art, health, social studies and physical education. It offers an accelerated reader program that is used to monitor and guide the reading practices and helps students in improving reading abilities. It is operated by the Conroe Independent School District, which also operates several elementary, middle and high schools.
