Coach was founded in 1941 as a family-run workshop. It is one of North America s pre-eminent designers, producers and marketers of fine accessories and gifts for women and men, including handbags, business cases, luggage and travel accessories, wallets, outerwear, eyewear, gloves, scarves and fine jewelry. With licensing partners, Coach is able to offer watches, footwear and office furniture bearing the Coach brand name. There are more than 300 Coach stores in the United States and the brand has built a strong presence in the United States through Coach boutiques located within select department stores and specialty retailer locations. Lew Frankfort has been the chief executive officer of Coach for more than 11 years. He has been with the company for over 27 years. Frankfort earned a BA at CUNY Hunter, and holds an MBA from Columbia University. Operating stores and shops in different countries, Coach maintains head offices in New York City.
