About Families United Network Families United Network, Inc is a state licensed 501 (c) 3 non-profit social service agency. The agency was founded in 1996,, and initially provided Foster Care services to children families throughout the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania. Today, Families United Network is a well-respected leader in child welfare that continues to provide quality foster care and adoption services, domestic and international adoption, and in addition, operates community residential and life readiness facilities for adolescent boys and girls. With locations throughout Pennsylvania, Families United Network serves over 500 children on an annual basis.

Started by a group of volunteers, St. Joseph s Center works to provide care, concern, compassion and commitment to patients and their families. Located in Scranton, Pa., it offers pregnancy, outpatient therapy, and family and adoption services. The center also conducts various extensive residential and community-based programs for children and adults diagnosed with mental retardation. Established in 1888, St. Joseph s serves residents throughout northeastern Pennsylvania. It provides residential services for homeless mothers and children, as well as offers residential and outpatient therapies and educational programs. The center works in cooperation with hospitals, welfare organizations, and governmental and private agencies in community planning for the better health of citizens. St. Joseph s Center is affiliated with Baptist Bible College & Seminary, Luzerne County Community College, Pennsylvania Department of Education, Pennsylvania Department of Public Welfare and American Dietetic Association.
