KWWL is a television station operating out of Waterloo, Iowa. The station operates on very high frequency channel seven and is owned by Quincy Newspapers, which bought KWWL from Raycom Media in March 2006. KWWL is an affiliate of the National Broadcasting Company. The station is the primary NBC affiliate for northeast Iowa, including Cedar Rapids and Dubuque. KWWL also operates two digital channels that are available viewers in eastern Iowa, KWWL Weather PLUS and The Tube. R.J. McElroy and the Black Hawk Broadcasting Company founded the station in 1953.
