The Amagansett Fire Department was established in 1914. Ever since then, a group of volunteers from the small hamlet of Amagansett have banded together to fight fires, answer calls for emergency medical service and help lead the community. The firehouse is located on Montauk Highway, just east of the Amagansett School and west of the train station.
