Welcome to Healthy PetsHealthy Pets of Ohio offers fully equipped animal hospitals. We have five state of the art hospitals in central Ohio under the Healthy Pets of Ohio name. In addition to providing the highest quality medical care for your pets, we also offer boarding and grooming services. The species we care for include, but is not limited to dogs and cats.Healthy Pets began as a single doctor practice in the 1950s by Hal H. Taylor, Sr. on the West Side of Columbus. In 1970, Dr. Hal H. Taylor, Jr joined his father in practice in their new up to date location. As the industry grew and technology expanded, so did the need for additional doctors, staff and services.By the late 80s, we had outgrown the second location and began searching for a new area to add another location. In 1993, the second location, Healthy Pets of Rome-Hilliard was added. We were now able to provide medical, boarding and grooming services in both locations. The demand was so great, that a third location, Healthy Pets of Bren-Lor in 1995. Due to the growing need for veterinary services in the north western area, Healthy Pets of Wedgewood was added in 1999. The latest location, Healthy Pets of Lewis Center was added in 2008.As each location was added, so grew the number of staff. We currently employ 14 doctors, 12 veterinary technicians, 5 on site managers, a management company and numerous support staff.We offer the most advanced surgical techniques. All patients are assessed the day of surgery and anesthetics are chosen based on your pets specific needs.
