The Pasadena Humane Society & SPCA is an independent, non-profit agency that provides shelter for abandoned and homeless animals. The Pasadena Humane Society takes in animals -- primarily dogs -- of all breeds, ages, and medical conditions. It provides food, shelter and medical care in its facilities, which include climate-controlled kennels and park-like grounds. The organization provides adoption services to help people find animal companions and to help the animals find comfortable permanent homes. It has a spay/neutering clinic, provides animal control services, sells pet food, toys and accessories, offers dog boarding, dog training and animal behavior consultation services and more. This large facility has more than 70 employees and is responsible for animal welfare in La Canada Flintridge, San Marino, Sierra Madre and Arcadia, Glendale, Pasadena and South Pasadena. The organization is donor supported, and contributions are always greatly appreciated.
