Located inside the Banyan Tree Mall in downtown Glen Elly, Gabe's sells rare coins and precious metals. The shop specializes in rare U.S. coins selected by the owner, a coin dealer and appraiser with more than four decades of experience. The five glass display cases also house a selection of paper currency, foreign coins, books and magazines for coin collectors, and even a few gag/novelty items, such as million dollar bills and President Obama currency.
A thrift store that has been serving Glen Ellyn for over 50 years, Treasure House Resale Shop contains items for many household needs, including books, clothing, artwork and household appliances. The aisles are sometimes narrow due to the large inventory in the store. All items in Treasure House store are donated or sold on consignment. Proceeds go to Dupage Family Services.

For instance, you can find vintage wooden furniture from the 1800's, but also contemporary jewelry. Run by the Glen Ellyn Historical Society, which benefits from the store's sales, the store incorporates elements of village history with a showcase of wedding gowns dating back to 1869, and key dates on plaques mounted on the store walls. Stacy's Corners also sells hand-crafted and Amish-made food items like pineapple salsa, and jam, which are some of its most popular products, according to the store manager Jennifer Porter. A cozy section of the amply-sized store features a comfortable seating area where local groups and clubs can meet.
