Bead + Fiber is housed in a lovely room made entirely of glass windows, allowing the store's countless beads to glow on a sunny day. Inside, you'll find a vast array of supplies needed to create beads of all sorts including glass and bone and fibers such as yarn and wool. Bead +Fiber offers classes in all kinds of techniques such as bead stringing, knotting, felting, knitting, weaving, and repurposing your jewelry. There is also a gallery featuring finished works available for purchase.
When Rugg Road Paper Company was first founded in 1982, it was a handmade paper-making shop that catered to the local art community. The shop currently maintains that heritage by stocking over 600 types of hand-made paper from around the world, but also meets all the practical paper needs of the Beacon Hill community by providing greeting cards, stationary, recycled paper products, gift supplies and in-house gift wrapping services, wedding invitations, photo albums, notebooks, rubber stamp kits, and more.
