Operating out of a large, eponymous former warehouse on Fitchburg Street, the Brickbottom Artists Association is one of the oldest artists' associations in the country. This nonprofit organization offers creative workshops, classes and full art programs. Also housing a contemporary art galley, the association is part of the Open Studio program, an endeavor to expand and preserve the arts in and around Boston.
Originally constructed in the 19th century, the Brickbotton Artists Building, also known informally as Brickbottom Lofts, is a now home to 155 condominums. It also features an on-site gallery exhibiting local work, as well as a large common courtyard and on-site property management.
