The main pool features zero-depth entry, meaning it slants into the water like a beach. It also has a one-meter diving board, a three-meter drop slide and an interactive children's play area. There's also 600-foot lazy river for relaxing on single or double inner tubes that runs through the park and some paths with splash buckets. The Tinley Park District turned the house of the town's first mayor, Henry Vogt, into an elegant and functional art center. The center offers the men, women and children of Tinley Park the opportunity to experience art through local artist galleries and classes (watercolor, stained glass, youth art programs and oil painting). The galleries are free to the public and classes are very affordable. The center also sells original prints.

The Tinley Park Historical Society is centered around two buildings: the old Zion Lutheran Church (est. 1884) and a replica of an early Tinley Park school house/village hall. The Historical Society houses an impressive array of early settler artifacts, all of which were donated by local families. The Landmark Chapel and New Saenger Hall can be rented out for weddings.

The Tinley Park Historical Society urges visitors to donate to support this piece of local history.
