Bear Branch Nature Center is located just past the Hashawa Environmental Center. Bear Branch mails a seasonal newsletter to members with a list of upcoming events. Nature hikes, environmental programs and planetarium programs are a few of the activities you'll find here. It features a library resource room, bird observation room, discovery room, exhibit hall, auditorium, a 40-seat planetarium and gift shop. Bear Branch is open to the public and free of charge. Carroll County School for the Performing Arts is an organization established to help provide students a place to help develop and refine their dance and performance art skills. The school offers numerous programs, including dance, music and drama, for students ages 2 to adult. Some classes and programs include in ballet, vocal, strings, piano, guitar, theater, pilates and jazz, among many others. The school offers multiple performing opportunities, and the location also offers two large dance studios, two large multi-purpose classrooms, dressing rooms, a student lounge and study area, and a visitor's waiting room equipped with a children's play area.
