Double 'D' Gymnastics is a kids gym that offers tumbling and trampoline classes, supervised practice time (SPT), mobile gymnastics and indoor rock climbing. It can also host birthday parties, and has summer camps and many special events. Double 'D' has over over 1,000 students and more than 25 coaches, and features a variety of teaching and coaching levels. It includes both group sessions and individual instruction.
VATv, or Value-Added Television, is a television production studio. VATv offers script-to-screen services that include standard and HD television production, post-production, webcasting and DVD duplication. VATv employs a professional staff of writers and on-screen talent. It is home to the Philadelphia Visitor's Channel, which provides network broadcasting in Philadelphia hotels.
Turning Point Gallery is located in the heart of downtown Media. It is a fine arts gallery carrying pieces in a variety of mediums, from glass work to paintings and jewelry. The gallery's inventory changes regularly.
Media Music is small state-of-the-art, soundproof, 64-track recording facility, located right in downtown Media on the backside of its building, facing West Franklin. Some of the other services the studio offers are private and group lessions, band management, DJing and high-volume CD duplication.
The Delaware County Historical Society is located on Palmers Mill Road at the end of a winding road. Founded in 1895, it is the oldest historical society in Delaware County. It currently owns two properties: Greenbank Farm in Media and the old Delaware County National Bank in Chester. Once housed in the old Courthouse, the library is now next door in the old bank building. Greenbank Farm is a historic site as well as home to the DCHS administrative and Passport to History offices.
The DCHS appeals to all different types of visitors, from students of all ages, to tourists to genealogists. Visitors can learn about the long legacy and history of Delaware County. The county records are stored at the Chester location, and the staff at the Greenbank Farm location are very knowledgeable about local history.
Delaware County Sportsmans Association has been serving the Trap Shooters community since 1925. Shoots operate from April to September and begin at 4pm on Wednesday evenings. The facilities include four competition trap houses and one practice trap. The club also holds Lewis Class Prize Shoots and other special events from October through March. A full service snack bar is available to shooters, serving hot and cold sandwiches, drinks and snacks.
