Ramapoo Gun Club is a rifle and revolver club that is open to the public for a variety of services and safe shooting practices. Although membership is not required, there are numerous activities throughout the year for members. The club holds a monthly pistol carry permit class, and has a junior club for ages 10-19. The Ridgefield Arts Council is a municipal council based in Ridgefield. The council meets monthly and is made up of 11 volunteers from the Ridgefield community. These volunteers aim to promote community artists and run cultural events that connect local talent with community members. The Ridgefield Historical Society offers visitors a rich history of Ridgefield's native grounds and people through community outreach, publications and exhibits, oral presentations, workshops and document collections. The society is housed in the 1714 David Scott house, a historical property that was moved to its present location on Sunset Lane for preservation reasons. Visitors can learn about local history, search archives, utilize the meeting room or chat with the town historian. The society welcome sponsors, donors and volunteers to support its mission to preserve the town's history.
Since 1974, the Ridgefield Guild of Artists, a non-profit organization, has been promoting the visual arts and education as well as offering the gallery for the guild to display their art and the public to enjoy it. Although the Guild is a community-based effort, members also live the surrounding area. The 200 plus year-old barn that houses the works is well-maintained and furnished with inspiring works and decor. Exhibitions held throughout the year.
