According to one member of the Chicago Computer Society, which was founded in 1985, the only requirement for joining is to have an interest in computers! The CCS website offers its members a variety of benefits including regular meetings located all over the Chicago area, discounts, special events and access to a monthly newsletter.
Joyful Again! is a volunteer organization for those who have been widowed. What began in 1986 in the Chicago area has now spread to other states as well. According to one volunteer, the organization offers 8 to 10 two-day retreat workshops every year in the Chicagoland area sponsored by various churches and hospitals.
