The regional headquarters for the Boy Scouts of America can be found next to the entrance to Druid Hill Park. The mission is to foster local Boy Scout chapters throughout the Baltimore region and beyond. The central office offers administrative oversight for local Boys Scouts chapters, fundraising, media campaigns and volunteer efforts.
The Maryland Society for Sight's mission is "to prevent blindness and preserve sight for Marylanders." It seeks to educate the general public on issues related to blindness and sight, improve existing laws to better serve the visual well-being of Maryland citizens, a better institution for reasons of prevention and generally mitigate the causes of blindness. They sponsor programs and events to make advances related to all such issues.
