The Downtown Westfield Corporation administers the town's Special Improvement District. The SID is the downtown's marketing and management corporation. DWC handles promotion for downtown businesses, coordinates special events, oversees maintenance and streetscape of the downtown and assists in recruiting businesses to the downtown. The corporation also administers www.westfieldtoday.com. The DWC is funded by a special tax paid by businesses and landlords in the SID region. Entrepreneurs will need membership before having access to aid that includes financial modeling, business advisory and consulting, peer mentoring, pitch coaching, peer mentoring, advisory board development and more.
Solbakken, the gathering place for Sons of Norway in the Monmouth county area, is one of three such places in New Jersey. Its very steep driveway and forest setting shades the building from public view. This private association is open only to those invited through member recommendation. Sons of Norway meets every first and third Friday of the month.
The U.S. Soo Bahk Do Moo Duk Kwan Federation is a nonprofit, private membership-based association, whose main purpose is to prepare a home in the U.S. for a unified Moo Duk Kwan assembly. The martial arts association shares a building with Hwang Martial Arts.
