About UPA The Utah Petroleum Associations ( UPA ) seeks to promote the discovery, development, production, transportation, refining, conservation, and marketing of oil and gas in the state of Utah ; and to furnish opportunities for open discussion and lawful interchange of information and education concerning all facets of the petroleum industry with particular reference to the state of Utah ; and to accumulate and disseminate information concerning the petroleum industry and generally to foster the best interests of the public and the industry. UPA is the essential resource for Utahs growing oil and natural gas industry. UPA seeks to effectively represent Utahs petroleum industry, improve the States business environment and promote the responsible development of Utahs energy and natural resources. Members can connect and share insights with industry peers, government regulators and Utahs business and academic communities. UPA has represented utahs petroleum industry for over half a century. Founded in 1958, UPA is a voluntary, non-profit petroleum trade association. UPA represents all segments of Utahs oil and natural gas industries. UPA members include both integrated major companies as well as independent oil and natural gas producers and refiners. UPA members are investing significantly in Utahs economy and communities. Utahs energy industries are major contributors to Utahs economy, providing critical energy resources, jobs, tax revenues and royalties to state and local governments as well as Utahs Permanent School Fund.
