Johns Automotive Service was established here in Cedar Rapids in 1982 with a well earned reputation for their honest and quality repair service. Moving to their present location in 1985 and still a family owned business yet today, they enjoy a well maintained facility with state of the art equipment. Bob Orr Owner of Johns Automotive Service Since January of 2001, his background is all auto repair related since high school. Past employment positions range from technician to VP of Sales. A considerable amount of Bobs past was dedicated to technical training of Automotive Air Conditioning, Steering and Suspension Repair. Training that was offered to technicians of repair shops primarily in Iowa, Illinois and Wisconsin with limited training visits to Michigan and Indiana. Al Wright - With 21 years experience in the Cedar Rapids area, Al joined the staff at Johns Automotive in April of 2008 as Service Manager. His main responsibility is to make sure we turn out the highest quality repairs possible. His experience in the repair and management industry will assist Johns Automotive Service in being the best we can be! Russ Thier - With experience dating back to 1999, Russ is also a Graduate of Kirkwood Community College of Cedar Rapids where he was voted Top Student by the KCC instructors and was awarded a scholarship from ACDelco a division of General Motors. He has also completed ASEs requirement and has been awarded their certificate for Master Technician. Dan Berstler - Dan joined Johns Automotive in March of 2009 after a lengthy career as a top notch technician of a Cedar Rapids area General Motors Dealership. His valuable experience will aid Johns Automotive in becoming the best it can be! Spencer Hope - Spencer has been working at Johns Automotive in a part time capacity for the past couple years. We are excited he has decided to stay with us full time after graduating also from Kirkwood Community College with a degree in Automotive technology!
